The crime is clear and admitted. The man has had the benefit of a long and free life on the run. Never-the-less, he should be treated as any other pedophile and admitted rapist… serve his penalty.
It amazes me that somehow creative or successful people seem to believe that their accomplishments should give them some special greater leeway to commit crimes. Your accomplishments do not entitle you to a “free rape card”.
I wonder how many of the signatories to the petition for his freedom are pedophiles or have committed equally disgusting crimes. Is this a syndicate? I believe that one person on that list has committed equal crimes to my understanding… and possibly more disgusting because it involved his own family member. We might want to take a close look at the rest of the list.
I understand “standing by” someone, but they should do so privately and to him, not by signing a petition ‘against’ the victim and against the better good of justice.

I have not met one person who thinks Roman Polanski should be set free. What he did was so reprehensable he should spend the rest of his life in prison. All those people who signed the petition should put theirselves in the place of that 13 year old girl. Imagine if that were their daughter or grandchild, would they take the same attitude. I think all of Hollywood scum should be ashamed.
Anyone who comes out in defense of Roman Polanski should be treated with the same level of respect any rapist deserves. My family and I will boycott any movie, etc. featuring any actor, actress, producer, etc. who has come out in defense of this scum. We will vote against any political figure, etc. who comes out in defense of this scum.
This has nothing to do with Mr. Obama. This has to do with simple justice. Vermin is vermin, no matter how you dress it up.
