The Advanced Man – We’re Here, Now What?
Have we really become such a weak-minded, superficial society? What has happened to man? Have we gone through countless ages of evolutionary advancement only to reach this feeble existence? We must get back on track. We have a duty to ourselves to be better than this.
We have become marionettes controlled by the strings of marketing gurus. We are now, more than ever before, constantly bombarded by advertisements – little messages popping in our heads throughout the day telling us what we want and need. Do we really want or need 99% of the bullshit we see or hear about each day? Never before have marketers had so much of a window into our buying habits. They track you, then guide you, then track you some more.
As for technology, it’s time to move on from the novelty of “social” networking, reality TV, and mindless technology. Do you people realize how fucking stupid you look with your little robo-ear blackberry devices? Perhaps Apple’s next generation iPod will double as a suppository. How many of these things really simplify our lives? Get on with it people – the sparkle has started to fade. Unplug and go look at a tree or some clouds – When was the last time you looked up at the sky and saw a cloud that looked like a buffalo, or one that looked like Jimmy Carter with a peanut shoved up his nose?
We are animals first. We have instincts and desires that supersede all this daily noise we encounter. We need to feed those instincts and desires. There isn’t a goddamn gadget in world that will do that. I believe this is the primary thing missing in many people’s lives today. We have lost our connection to the REAL world and it’s killing us, destroying the final threads of what man really is.
