Buying a Foreclosure – A Real Estate Nightmare
It’s been some very crazy times for the real estate market, and if you’ve recently had the unfortunate experience of attempting to purchase a foreclosure property (as I have), you may enjoy this.
Below is a letter I recently mailed to the owner of a real estate company that manages foreclosure properties for mortgage companies. Unfortunately, for me, this company acted as an intermediary between me and the home owners (the mortgage company). I’d go into all the details of this soured transaction, but I fear my heart (and your patience) could not handle it.
You can probably infer from the letter below that this particular transaction was less than successful. Still, I found my letter somewhat amusing and thought you might too… Enjoy.
-
Communication - You have proven time and time again, that you have a total disregard for basic communication skills (but at least it’s a consistent characteristic held by all of your staff that I have dealt with).
-
Ethics – You clearly lack integrity and are highly-skilled in unethical business practices. I imagine that there may have been a time when you, as a child, may have sold candy door-to-door for a fundraiser. Did you eat the peanuts out of the candy bars, re-wrap them, then sell them to unsuspecting neighbors?
-
Competence – I am so stuck on this one… I can’t decide which of you is the most incompetent fool of the bunch… Let’s just agree that you are all equally incompetent screw-balls.
