$50K To Use Twitter – Horizon Group vs. Amanda Bonnen

Apparently using Twitter can be quite expensive these days…

Check out this article from today’s Chicago Sun-Times:  Tweet about apartment mold draws lawsuit

Poor Amanda Bonnen.  She’s just a some Twitter-diva, clearly tweeting-off some frustration.  Now, she’s facing a ridiculous $50,000 lawsuit filed by Horizon Group Management LLC of Chicago, Illinois.

It appears that there was no attempt by the property management company to resolve this issue at all.  Their first reaction was to sue.  In fact, Jeffery Michael of Horizon states that, “We’re a sue first, ask questions later kind of an organization.”  Yeah, that’s the kind of person I want to have managing where I live.

The following is an example of an opinion:

It is my opinion that Jeffery Michael, mentioned in the article, is an insufferable douche-bag, incapable of clearly reasoning what his statement could do.   Furthermore, I believe that anyone who would continue to work with, consider, or do any sort of business with Horizon Group Management LLC is a moron because Horizon appears to be about screwing people  and wasting our court’s time.

Wow…huh.  You’ve probably scared the pants off a twenty-something year-old college girl.  Feel better now big guy?
